Great Irish guitarist

Whilst I’m sorting out my intended post relating to upgrading my guitar I thought I’d post a video of one of my favourite Irish performers. Paul Brady . Paul is a singer/ songwriter who’s career has spanned folk and modern. Bob Dylan said of him in a quote about musicians who impressed him “..people get too famous too fast these days and it destroys them. Some guys got it down- Leonard Cohen, Paul Brady, Lou Reed, secret heroes,- John Prine, David Allen Coe,Tom Waits. I listen more to that kind of stuff than whatever is popular at the moment. They’re not just witchdoctoring up the planet, they don’t set up barriers…”.

Paul has just released a new album Hoobadooba, follow the link and listen to this great performer, meantime here is a performance of one of his more famous folk renditions. Paul’s arrangement of this anti recruiting song from the napoleonic wars is an awesome performance of acoustic guitar skill, watch and savour.
