Thin Lizzy Live

Thin Lizzy are currently on a UK tour, which began at Glasgow‘s Barrowlands on January 19 and runs until February 4, when the band headline London‘s HMV Hammersmith Apollo. Support on all dates will come from US metallers Clutch
A new line-up has formed to take Lizzy’s music to a whole new generation of music fans. Led by Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and Darren Wharton (all of whom played in Thin Lizzy with Phil Lynott) the stellar line-up is completed by Damon Johnson on guitar (Alice Cooper Band), Bassist Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Ted Nugent) and The Almighty’s Ricky Warwick on vocals and guitar.
Here are some videos from their recent performance in Newastle:

Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

I’ve explained previously that I’ve recently converted my acoustic guitar to an electro acoustic, (and I’ve promised to post the video) it was very successful and prompted me to get the headstock repaired with a professional.

Lot of pics of before and after coming soon, thanks again Stephen Terry.

Anyway next step is an amp. I’d been looking for a good acoustic amp that had a channel for a microphone at a reasonable price, suitable for small venues. One that I was considering was the Behringer ACX 450. The reviews were good and the specification seemed to meet my needs. However nothing beats seeing it perform, and being where I live its difficult to get to somewhere to see a live demonstration, so I’m pleased to say I found this demonstration video on line, it answered my remaining queries.
